Built around 1790, this imposing manor house at Etton, East Yorkshire, was suffering from historic settlement which had caused various structural faults. The result was extensive cracking of the brickwork and stone mullions and separation from the main structure of three two storey bay windows.

Being concealed and avoiding costly and disruptive taking down and rebuilding, the Helibeam System was ideal for restoring structural integrity to this heritage building. High strength flexible stainless steel HeliBars were bonded into channelled out mortar beds around the top of each bay and tied into the main structure to secure the bays and redistribute the structural loads. Individually bonded HeliBars were used to stitch cracks in the masonry while DryFix remedial ties secured the stone mullions to the brickwork to leave the property, after re-pointing, fully stabilised but visually unaltered.
