Points to Note

A. Pin spacing and position may be varied to suit site conditions.

B. Pins are to be installed approx. 50mm from the edge of the patched area.

C. Intermediate pins should be at 150-200mm centres. Extra pins may be used at the discretion of the site management or the engineer in charge.

D. Pins should be applied at not less than two pins per patch.

Clean area to be patched by removing all loose material and leave surface ready to accept patching material in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions. Clean and treat any exposed embedded steel.

Drill 6.5mm diameter holes 37mm deep using an SDS hammer drill and Insert PatchPins, using a PatchPin support tool fitted over the drill bit, with drill on hammer only.

Check that pin will be below the face of the finished concrete patch (pin end may be bent if straight length is too long). Apply patching mortar in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.
